This privacy policy applies to the Three Pebbles app (hereby referred to as “Application”) created by Karello Studio (hereby referred to as “Service Provider”) as a freemium app with optional in-app purchases and optional user-triggered rewarded ads. This service is intended for use as is.
The Application does not collect data that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, or contact details. Game statistics, preferences, Daily Puzzle streaks, and Puzzle Archive completion/unlock state are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to the Service Provider.
The Application does not collect usage analytics. Crash reporting is off by default: no crash data is sent unless you opt in, either by accepting the prompt shown on first launch, or by enabling “Send crash reports” in Settings. You can turn this off again at any time in Settings; crash reports not yet sent are then deleted from your device.
The Application may offer optional, user-triggered rewarded ads, including ads that unlock one older Daily Puzzle Archive challenge for free users. Rewarded ads are not shown automatically during gameplay, and the ad software is not started until you ask to watch one. Every ad request is marked as child-directed for every player, whatever their age: ads are limited to content suitable for all ages (rated G) and are never personalized, and the Application does not access the Android Advertising ID or the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA). Each time the Application starts, it contacts Google’s consent tool (the User Messaging Platform), which sends Google technical information such as your IP address and basic device details; because every player is treated as under the age of consent, it does not ask for consent to personalized ads. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob may process technical information such as IP-derived approximate location, ad interaction data and diagnostics to serve, measure and secure that ad, under Google’s rules for child-directed requests.
When you have opted in to crash reports, a report is sent to Firebase Crashlytics when the Application crashes or hits a serious error, so the Service Provider can fix it. A report contains technical information about the error (such as a stack trace), the app version, and device/OS information, along with an installation identifier assigned by Firebase. It does not directly identify you and is not used for advertising.
When you choose to view a rewarded ad, ad-related data may be transmitted to Google AdMob as described above. Ad consent is separate from the Application’s crash-reports opt-in.
The Application utilizes the following third-party services which have their own Privacy Policies:
To provide local multiplayer features, looking for nearby players, the Application requires access to:
These permissions are used solely for the purpose of establishing a direct connection between devices for gameplay. No personal data is transmitted to the Service Provider via these features.
If you allow notifications, the Application uses them only for the optional daily puzzle reminder, which is scheduled on your device. No data is sent to the Service Provider.
Optional in-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The Application asks the store on your device which purchases you own; nothing about your purchases is sent to the Service Provider, and the Service Provider does not receive your payment details.
The Application does not store personal data on external servers operated by the Service Provider. Crash data collected by Firebase Crashlytics, ad-related data collected by Google AdMob, and purchase-related data processed by the app stores are retained according to those providers’ policies. Local game data (statistics, preferences) remains on your device until you uninstall the Application or clear app data.
The Application is suitable for all ages. Ads are non-personalized and child-directed for every player. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described in this policy. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider to have the information removed.
You have the right to:
The Application operates primarily offline, with game data stored locally on your device. External communication may include opt-in Firebase crash reporting, optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, app store purchase processing, and local multiplayer discovery/connection. Firebase, Google AdMob and the app stores use industry-standard transport security. Local multiplayer connects the two devices directly over Bluetooth or your local WiFi network without going through any server; this connection is not encrypted and carries only game moves, game settings and cosmetic choices. While you host a game, your chosen display name is broadcast so nearby players can find it.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately upon posting on this page.
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about our practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at support@karellostudio.com.
